13 Moons
A Women's Healing Circle

January-December
Begins each year in January.

Since the dawn of our existence women have been gathering together as daughters, sisters, mothers and as healers. Powerful stories have been shared, tears have been shed and many magical moments of healing, strength and love have occurred. It is in honor of this ancient tradition that the 13 Moons - A Women’s Healing Circle has been created. This group will meet monthly over the course of one year. The circle will begin in January of each year and will meet one evening a month continuing into the following January. Under these 13 moons we will come together as women and healers. Each moon we will explore a variety of topics including: sacred healing, women’s plant allies and the wise woman tradition.  We will also create rituals for honoring our moon cycle, birth, death, divorce and more and will focus on positive manifestations, cutting cords and fully explore our role as women, sisters and community healers. The circle will be a private and sacred group, open to women, by invitation only. If you are interested in sharing in this experience and would like more information please send us a letter of intent to twinstarherbinfo@gmail.com.

Herb Justice Seed to Market
Herbalist Training Program
@Wassaic Community Farm
March-November

Herb justice is a belief that all communities should have access to high quality locally grown herbal plants and remedies. Students in the Herb Justice Seed to Market program will learn first hand how to grow, tend and harvest dozens of medicinal herbs that are grown at Wassaic Community Farm, in Wassaic NY. Participants will also work closely with the diversity of medicinal and edible plants that grow wild throughout our area. Throughout the program we will use these herbs to prepare herbal teas, salves and tinctures and bring these remedies to our rural and urban neighboring communities through various farmers markets.   The Seed to Market participants will actively engage in the Herb Justice concept by learning to share herbal healing with the public regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, ability, religion, or community.

Twin Star proudly presents               Rosemary Gladstar's
The Science & Art of Herbalism

“The Science & Art of Herbalism Home Study Course is not a clinical level program, nor is the focus only on medical herbalism. Rather, the course builds a firm foundation upon which to continue to build one’s herbal education. It guides the student into the many areas and aspects of herbs providing pathways to deepen one’s awareness. The students complete the course with a well-rounded and grounded herbal education. The course is geared towards the beginner/intermediate students of herbalism, though I’ve had many knowledgeable well-trained herbalists sign up. They use the course material as a review and/or to better organize their own source of knowing and information. The Science & Art of Herbalism provides a systematic comprehensive way to organize ones studies and gives excellent resources and techniques for doing so.” - Rosemary Gladstar

Monthly classes will be held on the first Friday of the month from 6-10 PM in the Twin Star Classroom for course overview, herbal lab time and study group. In addition, this 10 Lesson course includes Rosemary’s core curriculum, a specially designed binder, correction of all homework, and a certificate upon successful completion of the course from both Twin Star and Sage Mountain. The Lessons are designed to provide practical, hands-on experience with each assignment designed to enrich your personal experience with the plant world.  Please contact us for more information.
